Atlantic Surfing is an editorial operation, full stop. We read owner reports from surfers on both sides of the Atlantic, we weigh what separates the tiers of gear, and we tell you plainly which kit is worth your money for the waves you actually surf. Joan Coleman spent years on shop floors and in gear-review aggregation across Atlantic surf communities, and that experience — not guesswork — informs every recommendation here. We don't treat the Atlantic as a discount market for second-tier equipment, because it isn't one.
